How the Aggregate Calculator Works

Pakistani universities calculate a weighted aggregate from your Matric marks, FSc/HSSC marks, and an entry test score. Each university uses a different formula — select the preset to see the exact weightages.

Example: PMDC Standard Formula (Medical)

ComponentYour MarksWeightageContribution
Matric / SSC1050 / 110010%9.55%
FSc / HSSC Pre-Medical980 / 110040%35.64%
MDCAT Score140 / 18050%38.89%
Total Aggregate84.08%

Formula: (Matric/Total × 10) + (FSc/Total × 40) + (MDCAT/180 × 50)

Frequently Asked Questions

Which formula does NUMS use for MBBS admission?

NUMS uses: Matric 10% + FSc 40% + NUMS Entry Test (out of 200) × 50%. Minimum 60% in FSc and 55% in NUMS test for MBBS; 50% for BDS. Source: numspak.edu.pk (official).

What is the MDCAT total marks — 180 or 200?

For standard PMDC-affiliated colleges (UHS, KMU, SZABMU), the MDCAT is out of 180 marks. NUMS uses its own entry test out of 200 marks. Always confirm the total with your university as this may change each year.

Can I use this for O-Level / A-Level marks?

Yes, but you must first obtain an IBCC equivalence certificate, which converts your O/A Level grades to a percentage. Enter that IBCC equivalence percentage in the "Obtained" field and the total (100 or 1100 depending on how the equivalence is expressed) in the "Total" field.

How accurate is this calculator?

The calculator applies the formula exactly as specified in university policies. However, university merit criteria can change each year, minimum eligibility percentages may vary, and some universities apply additional tiebreaker rules. This tool provides a mathematical estimate — always verify your aggregate with the official university admissions office.
